GGHSON Senior Director Selected for Innovative Leadership Program
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) Senior Director Lorraine James, MBA, was one of 20 community members selected to participate in the Paso del Norte Health Foundation’s 2015-2016 REALIZE leadership program.
REALIZE is an innovative leadership development experience designed specifically for leaders of organizations engaged in promoting health and social services within the Paso del Norte region. James, who works in the GGHSON Office of the Founding Dean, began the intense nine-month program this month. “It is an honor to have been selected to participate in the 2015 cohort of the Paso Del Norte Health Foundation REALIZE program,” said James. “This program is geared to not only enrich one’s leadership potential but to bring awareness to community leaders on the healthcare needs of the El Paso community. As a native El Pasoan, I look forward to representing TTUHSC El Paso Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing and hope to make a positive impact on the healthcare delivery in my region.”
“Lorraine is the heart and soul of the GGHSON. She is a remarkable woman who is a role model and an inspiration to all of us,” said Jeanne Novotny, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, founding dean of the GGHSON.
