Regional Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Graduates Honored
A reception and ceremony for graduates of two programs at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) was held Monday, May 11, at the Academic Education Center of TTUHSC El Paso.
Seventeen graduates received their diplomas and certificates from the GSBS school in Lubbock that weekend before Monday’s event where family, friends, and staff and faculty from TTUHSC El Paso joined them.
Speakers at the ceremony included TTUHSC El Paso President Richard Lange, M.D., M.B.A.; Regional Dean of the GSBS El Paso Peter Rotwein, M.D.; and Assistant Academic Dean GSBS El Paso Rajkumar Lakshmanaswamy, Ph.D.; and Senior Associate Dean for the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and Professor and Graduate Advisor in the Department of Pharmacology Neuroscience Michael Blanton, Ph.D., on behalf of Brandt L. Schneider, Ph.D., Dean of the TTUHSC Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
Graduates of the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences are: Clarissa Nicole Amaya, Emily Kalinda Merelene Cox, Nathan Ty Garza, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Esha Kataria, Silver Melody Martin, Ashley Ann Navarro, Jacqueline A. Parada, Diego Armando Pedroza, Steven Lorenzo Rains, Servando Rivera, and Amanda Marie Yanez.
Receiving certificates for a Post Baccalaureate Program are David Anthony Bastian, Annette Escobedo, Derrick Matthew Oaxaca, and Marissa Renee Velasquez.
