The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) team at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso has been tasked with centralizing institutional data and using that data to respond to both external and internal reporting requests.
“The office will regularly report institutional data, such as enrollment numbers, graduation rates, and student demographics, in order to comply with various state and federal agency requirements,” said OIRE Director Christiane Herber-Valdez, Ed.D.
“Data may also be requested internally for presentations, proposals or other documentations of institutional metrics,” she said. “In addition, our role is to ensure that we continue to meet regional accreditation requirements set forth by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, and that our institutional units are effectively fulfilling the mission of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.”
OIRE was established in March 2014. This office is currently working with departments across TTUHSC El Paso to develop processes for ongoing evaluation and quality improvement. To learn more about the many functions of this office and its team, go to http://elpaso.ttuhsc.edu/ire/.
