What made you decide that medicine is the career for you?
My father is a physician and the fact that I could never be cooped up in a cubicle.

Where do you see yourself five years after completing your residency graduation?
Hopefully I’ll have my loans paid off and I’ll be delivering babies.

Favorite thing to do in El Paso:
Play ultimate Frisbee.

What do you do in your downtime?
Go hiking or windsurfing and watch football

Three words that describe you:
Gregarious, resourceful,  and optimistic. 

Something about you that not many people may know:
I was a theater major before medical school.

What made you decide that medicine is the career for you?
My experience as a medic in the Army and all my mentors – the good and the bad.

Where do you see yourself five years after completing your residency graduation?
Working as a psychosomatic or forensic psychiatrist.

Favorite thing to do in El Paso:
Workout with Roxanna and Raleigh and eat at Little Shack.

What do you do in your downtime?
 If there’s time, go backpacking and windsurfing. If not, read a book by Louis L’Amour, Kurt Vonnegut, or C.S. Lewis.

Three words that describe you:
Inquisitive, diligent, and compassionate.

Something about you that not many people may know:
I am a pacifist Mennonite and did a tour of duty in Iraq and got my U.S. citizenship in Sadam’s Al Faw Palace.
