What made you decide that medicine was the career for you? After serving my country in the US Army with a tour in Iraq, I wanted to continue a life of service in which I could make as big a positive mark in this world as I could. Medicine fulfills that quest.
Where do you see yourself five years after residency graduation? In El Paso, Texas with a general pediatrics outpatient clinic.
Favorite thing to do in El Paso: Bouldering and rock climbing in Hueco Tanks.
What do you do in your downtime? Spend time with my kids, run, read classic literature, watch movies, and enjoy the company of my friends.
Three words that describe you: Motivated, compassionate, and efficient.
Something about you that not many people may know: When I was a kid, I wanted to be a fighter pilot (F-15) until an Air Force physician told me, at the age of 8, that I couldn’t which made me cry a lot. So, that’s why I was Infantry and a Combat Engineer in the Army. Sappers Forward, Hooah!
