What made you decide that medicine was the career for you? When I was 12, my younger cousin was in an accident and had to be hospitalized for one month. I’d visit frequently and was fascinated to see him improve gradually. I knew from then that I wanted to be a part of that – to help children get better.
Where do you see yourself five years after residency graduation? Working in an academic institution or a community-based practice.
Favorite thing to do in El Paso: Try new restaurants.
What do you do in your downtime? Watch movies and read.
