Why are you interested in nursing?
There are many reasons why I want the honor of being called a nurse. One, is the fact that I’ll be a part in helping patients get healthy. Another reason is that I’m learning how to deal with complex situations. There isn’t just one answer to a question or situation.

Commissioned in the United States Navy Nurse Corps.
Favorite thing to do in El Paso:
I love family time or events, going to a movie with my husband, or music under the stars during the summer.
What do you do in your downtime?
I read! I love fiction, self-improvement books, Harry Potter and of course, romance. I love seeing movies, especially on rainy or cold days.

Why are you interested in biomedical research?
I worked in a laboratory as a medical technologist for several years. I felt biomedical research would be a new area in the laboratory to explore and learn about.

I see myself working in a laboratory as a biomedical scientist.

Visit my family.

“Someone had to take over the family business.” The challenges, the surgeries, and the patients.
Where do you see yourself five years after completing your residency graduation?
After completing a fellowship I’d like to stay in academia, as well as volunteer abroad.

Walk around downtown with my pup.
What do you do in your downtime?
Yoga, snowboard, hike, travel, swim, U of A athletics and hangout with my dog and fiance.
