TTUHSC El Paso Faculty and Staff Treat JAMP Pre-Med Students To Horseback Riding

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso faculty and staff treated Joint Admissions Medical Program (JAMP) pre-medical students participating in a summer program at the TTUHSC Paul L. Foster School of Medicine to horseback riding on June 6 at El Paso Trail Rides on Mcnutt Road. JAMP is a pipeline to medical school for disadvantaged students from around the state, involving a partnership between 11 medical schools, including Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, and 65 public and private undergraduate institutions in Texas. The students gain experiences in fundamental biological sciences, professionalism, test-taking, shadowing physicians, and knowledge about our curriculum, faculty and El Paso.
