Jose Manuel de la Rosa, M.D., has been appointed Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso. In his new role, Dr. de la Rosa will oversee the accreditation components of the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation through the newly formed Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness. Dr. de la Rosa will also oversee Student Services, Educational Affairs, the Office of Diversity Affairs and the Office of Global Health Affairs.
Dr. de la Rosa was formerly VP for Health Affairs, as well as Founding Dean of the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.
“As we continue to grow as an institution, Dr. de la Rosa will also oversee the development of future academic programs and assist in special projects. His 25-plus years of service with TTUHSC El Paso is a huge asset for us,” said TTUHSC El Paso President Richard Lange, M.D., M.B.A.
