The essay “Cystic Fibrosis and Mother’s Milk” by Lizabeth J. Berkeley, MPH, IBCLC, RLC, faculty instructor at the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) and director of the GGHSON Baby Café, was recently published in the fall 2014 issue of Medical Literary Messenger. The journal is associated with the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine that examines medicine and disease through creative expression. In her essay, Berkeley explores the relationship between her work as a board certified lactation consultant and her role as caregiver for her own children who suffer from cystic fibrosis.
