On Friday, October 3, the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso hosted the Third Annual Fighting Cancer with Knowledge and Research Symposium. The conference was co-chaired by Zeina Nahleh, M.D., Dept. of Internal Medicine, Brad Bryan, Ph.D., Dept. of Biomedical Sciences, and featured three speakers from TTUHSC El Paso including Dr. Nahleh, Dr. Bryan, and Navkiran Shokar, M.D., Dept. of Family Medicine. The symposium was a success with 65 health care professionals and more than 40 members of the public attending the conference, according to symposium coordinators. A well-attended reception and poster session was held after the talks and included research from both TTUHSC El Paso and University of Texas at El Paso.
