Free educational sessions are available during the ‘Fighting Cancer with Knowledge and Research’ Symposium at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso. On Friday, October 3, healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses and students may attend the session “Major Advances Achieved in Breast Cancer Research and How Patient Outcomes Improved” from noon to 1 p.m. at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Academic Education Center (AEC) 4800 Alberta Ave, Aud A. Lunch is provided and attendance is free. CME credits and nursing credit hours available.
Cancer survivors, the general public and anyone interested in cancer education may attend the session from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Texas Tech Medical Center, 4801 Alberta Ave. Lunch is provided and attendance is free. These sessions will cover “Three Cancer Screening Programs for Our Community” and “The Importance of Cancer Research and How it is Done.”
A poster session is also planned at the AEC from 3:45 to 5 p.m. which is open to all. There is no fee to attend any of the session but RSVPs are encouraged because of limited seating. Please call 783-1280, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
