El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser and City Council proclaimed Tuesday, December 2, 2014, as Giving Tuesday in honor of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso’s participation in #GivingTuesday, a national celebration of philanthropy and volunteerism that happens the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The council honored the university’s commitment to the citizens of El Paso through education, research and patient care.
