Victoria S. Pineda, CFRE, (Certified Fund Raising Executive), has joined Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement. Pineda served most recently as Director of Development for the College of Science at UTEP where she led a transformative development effort benefiting the students and faculty of the university. Pineda was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She holds a BA in Organizational Communication and an MLA in English, Public Affairs and Cultural Studies, both earned at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. She has been actively involved in non-profit fundraising for more than ten years, raising tens of million dollars across Texas and the United States.
“The Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is one of the most significant developments in medical education in the state of Texas in decades and I am thrilled to join the administrative team in El Paso to raise financial support for the tremendous work being done here, “ said Pineda. “My philosophy of philanthropy was nurtured by my parents Vicky and Carlos Gutierrez, who taught me that helping people is a responsibility, especially if the opportunity arises to make a long term commitment to better someone.”

Olivia Zepeda joins TTUHSC El Paso as Director of Development. Zepeda holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing, and an MBA in International Business, from The University of Texas at El Paso. Olivia was previously campaign manager for Dee Margo, Candidate for State Representative, District 78. She subsequently moved to Austin and worked at the State Capitol as Representative Margo’s Chief of Staff for the 82nd Legislative Session. After the Legislative Session ended, she returned to El Paso to work in the Development Office at UTEP. During her time at UTEP, she was the Assistant to the AVP, Director of Annual Giving and Donor Relations, and Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts.
