More than 30 alumni and 20 nursing students from the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) attended a fun alumni-student mixer earlier this month.
The mixer, held at the Doubletree Hotel, was an opportunity for nursing students to network and chat with alumni about life after nursing school. The students also got a glimpse of the tight-knit, welcoming GGHSON alumni culture.
Members of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) Alumni Association reap many benefits, including complimentary continuing education, free access to library and career services, and a subscription to PULSE, a bi-annual alumni magazine that keeps alumni up-to-date on the latest happenings at their alma mater.
The mixer was organized by Alumni Relations Officer Miriam Flores in the Office of Institutional Advancement. Those interested in becoming a member of the GGHSON alumni association can sign up online at ttuhscalumni.org.
