“You Make a Difference” Award Winner Announced
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) is proud to announce the recipient of the 2016 summer quarter “You Make a Difference” award, Alma Melendez. The “You Make a Difference” award recognizes employees who have exemplified excellent customer service in a specific situation.
Melendez, associate coordinator for the department of neurology, was nominated for her exceptional dedication to her department. Melendez constantly goes above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service and patient care. She personally helps direct EMT teams and even initiated the addition of low-lying signage to the basement of the Clinical Science Building to help facilitate EMT access.
The TTUHSC El Paso Employee Council is now accepting nominations for the fall 2016 quarter. Nominating a colleague is an excellent opportunity to acknowledge his/her dedication to excellence. The recipient will be recognized with:
- An engraved award
- A designated VIP employee parking space
- His/her name engraved on two campus plaques
- One (eight-hour) work day off without any deduction in vacation time
- Name and photo in Tech View announcement
