Ceremony Introduces New TTUHSC Leaders
Participants in a New Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Leadership Program attended a ceremony and luncheon February 6—as a culmination of the six-week program. This new Level-2 Leadership Program, The Influential Leader, is a six-week, advanced level leadership program consisting of 14 classroom hours, as well as additional development activities and a group presentation, that is made to the leadership of the organization.
Employees enrolled in the program identify the five levels of leadership that help in understanding and developing their leadership growth. Throughout the six modules, they learn the principles effective leaders use to bring value and influence anywhere within TTUHSC EP. “This enables supervisors to lead up, lead across, and lead down,” said Pete Hernandez, TTUHSC EP training manager.
“The program stems from the book; The 360° Leader, by John Maxwell. Once these principles are incorporated into their leadership style, they will be able to influence others, on every level,” he said.
Employees receiving certificates of completion in the program are:
Sandra Alderete, Surgery; Lisa Badillo, Contracting Dept.; Turina Cordova, Surgery; Christine Esqueda, Audit Services; Frank Maldonado, Medical Education; Tamarra Mason, CMHC El Paso Sanchez Unit; Patty Rodriguez, Pediatrics; Connie Rosales, Faculty Affairs and Development; Gretchen Ruiz, Student Affairs – SON; Diana Rusk, Emergency Medicine
