Professor Appointed to Organizing Committee for Professional Physiology Education Leaders
David Osborne, Ph.D., professor of physiology in the Department of Medical Education, was appointed by the American Physiological Society (APS) to the Inaugural Organizing Committee for the Association of Professional Physiology Education Leaders (APPEL). The American Physiology Society, with over 10,000 members, is the leading professional society dedicated to the fostering of education, scientific research and dissemination of information in the physiological sciences. Osborne has been a very active member of the APS for many years, and he also serves the APS as an appointed member of the “Distinguished Physiologist Committee”. His appointment to the APPEL Organizing Committee is an excellent example of how PLFSOM expert educators and innovative strategies are influencing the future of medical education at the national and international level.
