Research Projects Accepted for Presentations at San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium

Two Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso research projects were accepted for presentation at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) taking place December 9 – 13. Zenia Nahleh, M.D., F.A.C.P., associate professor and chief in the Division of Hematology-Oncology in the TTUHSC El Paso Department of Internal Medicine, will present “Improved outcome of breast cancer survivors participating in a multidisciplinary cancer survivorship program”. Investigators involved in the research project “Nab-paclitaxel, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, and pegfilgrastim with or without bevacizumab in treating women with inflammatory or locally advanced breast cancer,” were Dr. Nahleh, Rebecca Pasillas, Ph.D., Dwivedi A, Nasrazadani A, Rosa Heydarian, N.P., L. Sanchez, Indika Mallawaarachchi, Cecilia Ochoa, R.N., Edward Saltzstein, M.D.
