TTUHSC El Paso President Appoints Jerry Rodriguez as Chief Information Officer

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso President Richard Lange, M.D., M.B.A., announced the appointment of Jerry Rodriguez as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. In his new role, Rodriguez will be responsible for establishing, developing and implementing information technology strategies aligned with the mission and goals of TTUHSC El Paso. He will also oversee the transition of these services from Lubbock to the El Paso campus, ensuring all systems and applications are efficiently transferred between our universities. Rodriguez has 30 years of professional experience in computer science and information technology, including his 16 years of employment with TTUHSC El Paso and 14 years with the United States Department of Defense. He earned a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University after graduating from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He is a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Information Resources, the LEARN (Lonestar Education and Research Network) Board of Directors and the Texas Tech CIO Council, which was formed to establish technology strategies for the Texas Tech University System.
